Cowry Shell Cottage

A “Cowry Shell” is a usually an egg shaped, smooth shell with a flat bottom surface.  Our grandmother used to make jewelry out of Cowry Shells.

Cowry Shell Cottage is an end cottage and closest cottage to the street and features plenty of windows for breezes.  It is located next to our Cockle Shell Cottage. Cowry Shell has bright colors, an open concept floor plan with queen and twin beds, a nice kitchen, and a spacious bathroom.  The outdoor patio is small and cozy.  Cowry Shell has an adjoining door to our Cockle Shell cottage making it a great choice for larger families.

Crew Cottage

Cottage theme:  The West Indies

Crew Cottage is a cozy, charming “antique” cottage that makes you feel as if you have been transported to the West Indies of the past.  This cottage is located on the south side of our property, beside our Commodore’s Villa. This charming space features a queen bed and a twin bed. Step outside to a spacious private patio, perfect for soaking in the Caribbean breeze. For a true island experience, enjoy the convenience of an outdoor kitchen and refreshing outdoor shower—just steps from your door.

Castaway Cottage

“Castaway” is a term which refers to someone stranded in an isolated place.

Castaway Cottage is located in the rear of our property and adjoins with our Carol’s Rest Cottage.  This larger cottage was the home of our parents, Tom and Carol Benedict.  It has an open concept floor plan with king and twin beds in the main room, along with a galley kitchen and built-in dining nook.  A large bathroom with walk-in shower and a larger than average raised patio makes this cottage a guest favorite.

Cone Shell Cottage

A “Cone Shell” is a colorful, patterned shell that is shaped like a cone.

Cottage Theme:  Our dad and his family heritage

Located on the north side of our property, near the office and next to our Cockle Shell Cottage, Cone Shell Cottage is a larger, bright and festive cottage with an open concept floor plan.  Cone Shell features a built-in dining nook, a quaint kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and king and twin beds in the main room.  A cozy deck makes this cottage a guest favorite.

Commodore’s Villa

A “Commodore” is a naval officer of high ranking, just under a Rear Admiral but above a Captain.

Cottage Theme:  Nautical

Commodore’s Villa is named in honor of our great-uncle, John Shultz—a career Naval officer and Pearl Harbor survivor. This spacious one-bedroom, two bathroom villa is located near the south parking lot, offering easy access and a peaceful setting.

 The largest of all of our cottages, Commodore’s Villa has an open-concept main room with a galley kitchen. The spacious main room has two pull out queen sofas and connects to a spacious bathroom. The bedroom has a king bed and connects to a second spacious bathroom. The large outdoor patio is perfect for family meals or relaxing in the island breeze.

Coco Bean Room

A “Coco Bean” is the dried and fermented seed of a cocoa plant and can be used to make chocolate and coco butter along with other edible treats.

Coco Bean room is located on the back side of our Coco Palm Cottage, but with a private entrance near our main office.  It has an adjoining door to our Coco Palm Cottage making it a great addition to our Coco Palm cottage when renting them together.  Coco Bean is a very small hotel room with a king bed (that can be separate into two twin beds), a comfortable bathroom and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and several small appliances.  It has an outdoor sitting area perfect for private dining.
